Day 6: Be Realistic
It’s day 5 of the self discipline challenge. If you’re new, you can read what’s it all about here. Don’t worry, it’s not too late to jump in at any point. You’ll need the ebook 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life.
Today we’re focusing on being realistic. We need to set realistic goals that are within our reach but still stretch us. I admit, sometimes I have set goals that would require complete perfection to achieve, and then I just end up discouraged.
I’m thankful that I’m taking this challenge much slower, and the goals I’ve set for myself are pretty realistic. I’ve been tempted to set some goals that are a little out of reach, but have talked myself back. It’s really helping me to stick with them.
Also, I’m being realistic with my mega-project, and I’m not expecting myself to open a huge online store with 50+ items the day the challenge ends. Creating just 2 or 3 minutes to start with will be a success!
I did much better with my “life-hack” (not snoozing) this morning, although I do admit to hitting that button a couple times. However, it was so nice not to be rushing around like a madwoman trying to get ready for work. I’m also doing great with putting my shoes away. I can tell that it’s starting to become more of a habit.
How are you doing with the challenge? Are your goals realistic?

Glad you’re still going strong!
I am SO much more relaxed all day when my morning starts as a relaxed one 🙂
Praying for you as you take on this challenge!
Blessings,

I’m thinking about changing my life-hack midstream. I have not done well with the whole working out thing, so I’m thinking that tomorrow I might change it up and do something different that I’ll be more likely to actually stick with. We’ll see. I’m glad you’re doing well with everything so far.
