Join us for the Laundry Challenge!
Last month I hosted the clean sink challenge, which went great. I had all my dishes washed before bed every day in June except for two! I was super inspired by all of you doing the challenge with me. There were several evenings where I really didn't want to wash up my dishes, but I thought of all those clean sink pics in the Facebook group and got it done anyway.
I'd like to keep the momentum going this month by continuing with a Load a Day – Put Away challenge. I'm challenging myself (and you) to continue keeping the dishes washed each evening and to wash, dry, and put away a load of laundry each day. I think this will really help our homes run smoothly.
I don't know about you, but I don't have a huge problem getting our clothes washed and dried in a timely manner. However, I really struggle to get them folded and put away promptly. Sometimes clean laundry will sit around in the dryer or in baskets for days before being put away. The worst is when I have to run down to the basement to get a clean towel because I haven't put them away. That ends this month! Remember, it doesn't count unless your laundry is put away.
I'm planning to get in the habit of starting a load before I eat breakfast and switching it to the dryer after I return from my morning workout. Then I'll fold and put away at lunch time. Doing the same routine daily should help me make it a habit.
Now, I realize that some of you (myself included) may not need to do a load every single day and others will need to do more. That's okay. You can tweak the challenge to your needs. On the days when I don't need to do any laundry, I'm going to spend 5 minutes organizing my clothes instead. I have a few things that I don't wear anymore and a couple drawers that have become a little sloppy.

Ugh! Laundry and dishes, the bane of my existence! What a great idea to get motivated though, I know for certain if I just kept everything clean and organized it would make me so much happier! Ready for this challenge!
