I am excited to bring you another installment in the Planner Peek series! I don’t know about you, but I just LOVE being able to sneak a peek inside other people’s planners. I love to see how they use them, how they decorate them, what type of planner they use, etc. I have asked my readers to submit photos of their planners and to tell us a bit about how they use their planning system. (You can submit your planner by filling out this really short and easy form. If you’re selected, you’ll get a free copy of the digital Sweet Life Planner worth $35!) All of the Planner Peeks in this series have been so fun to see.
For years Kristine used a regular leatherbound refillable planner, but the last couple years that was not working so well. Kristine is super-busy. She has 6 children, as well as her own business. Kristine needed something that would work for all the kids’ appointments, as well as their dance schedules, etc, while also having all her business info in the same planner. Kristine considered using two separate planners, but thought it was not very practical to carry two planners everywhere she went. After much research, Kristine found the Arc M by Staples. It is customizable (and very reasonably priced) so Kristine thought she would give it a try for a year. So far, she is loving it!
Kristine added two monthly calendars. She uses one for personal appointments and commitments and she uses the other calendar for business and editorial deadlines.
After trying various ways of keeping her daily tasks straight, she decided that one weekly overview works better than separating personal & business. Kristine tried a daily, but it wasn’t a good fit for her.
Kristine has sections for business projects in the back. One section keeps her notes, sizing info, and other notes she needs for writing up her crochet patterns, which can be found on her blog, Ambassador Crochet. Kristine also has a section for the book she is writing, including a section for brainstorming and blogging.
As we all know, some pages just don’t work for us, but as Kristine has discovered, with the discbound planners it’s easy to adjust and try something else. Overall this planner is exactly what she was looking for, and with a little more tweaking she believes it will be a perfect all-in-one system for her!
I just love taking these planner peek tours. For even more inspiration with your planner, check out all the Planner Peeks in this series.
